Talk is the hold-to-talk path from the notch. You reach the voice companion while the thought is still there, and the answer comes back through the brain you already pay for.
Which brain answers
Point Super Notch at Grok or OpenAI in Settings. Chat and Talk answers use that plan. Apple Intelligence can reply on supported Macs if you prefer to stay on-device.
A Super Notch license is $20 USD for the first Mac, paid once. Extra Macs are $10 each. The Grok or OpenAI bill stays on the subscription you already have.
Download latest: 0.3.4 never appears under System Settings → Microphone. Get the current notarized build from supernotch.ai/downloads/SuperNotch.dmg, replace /Applications/SuperNotch.app, then grant that copy. Extra-copy cleanup cannot create a Microphone row on a build that lacks audio-input.
What the Mac has to allow
Voice needs microphone and accessibility permissions. macOS will ask. Until those are granted, Talk cannot hear you or work with windows.
You need an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 14 or newer.
Grant the copy in /Applications/SuperNotch.app. Extra copies in dist folders or Debug builds make those toggles look granted while this copy stays deaf.
Permissions stuck after an update
Quit every Super Notch that is not /Applications/SuperNotch.app. Updates should replace that app in place so the same bundle id and team stay put. If the path or signature changed, run these in Terminal, then turn Super Notch back on in System Settings:

tccutil reset Accessibility com.austindixson.supernotchConfirm the Settings row is the Applications copy, not a leftover under Desktop, src, or DerivedData.
