Live Stripe checkout was already returning cs_live_ sessions when the day started.
So the job was everything around it: get the buyer-facing site and the 0.3.5 binary path to match a checkout that takes real money. Ops in the morning, then a long site and brand day.
Money was already real
Railway deploy f045134e kept live charging on. POST /v1/checkout/session returns cs_live_, with the live Stripe secret, PRICE_FIRST at $20, PRICE_SEAT at $10, and a live webhook.
Mic and wizard TCC passed on gHost64 for the day.
The download link pointed at a 404
Sparkle and the help pages already pointed at /downloads/SuperNotch.dmg. That route 404'd. Only /v1/download worked.
PR #31 (efb8c06) made GET /downloads/SuperNotch.dmg stream the same attachment as /v1/download, with Railway follow-on ede7bf42. Sparkle and help links stopped 404ing.
Super Notch 0.3.5 closed notarization under FM-NOTCH-TCC-1-SHIP (notarize 056f7b14), and Mic passed on the audio-input entitlement build.
After notarizing, hit /downloads/SuperNotch.dmg and confirm Content-Disposition before you tweet a download link.
Lock the mark before the next DMG
PR #32 (af2ecf6) locked Logo C, the stacked session-rows mark, into the Dock, the menu bar, and the storefront. That covered AppIcon.icns, the menu bar PNG, website/assets/appicon.png, and a geometric icon-super.svg. The master PNG's SHA256 is 975ac74daccdbac5a2595279f011bfbacdd8418a88968e7432caa59080d49456.
Do this before you cut another customer DMG. The Dock and TCC cache the old AppIcon.icns until reinstall.
I cut too much mascot
PR #37 (e03142b) removed the Orb/Pebble/Flower companion pitch. It also deleted the companion studio, which I still wanted.
PR #39 (f332006) restored #companion-studio and locked muted hero play-on-load.
Cutting mascot sell copy is a different job from deleting the companion studio. Scope the cut to the shapes you no longer ship.
Safari punished the clever autoplay
PR #35 (f84f457) added native hero autoplay.
Then PR #42 (3e63182) tried scroll-into-view play. It stripped the HTML autoplay and set JS autoplay=false, and Mac Safari got worse than the day before.
PR #43 (105998d) went back to #39's play-on-load and added 72px side fades on the marquee. Follow-up d6f6b73 fixed demo autoplay across motion preferences and viewport re-entry. Draft PR #36, a preload=auto follow-up, closed unmerged because the later PRs covered it.
Safari muted autoplay is fragile. Prefer the known-good play-on-load path over clever IO-only play.
If the hero stops autoplaying after a "small" JS tweak, diff against the last commit that played on Mac Safari. Don't invent a new policy mid-evening.
The homepage stopped selling mascots
PR #41 (56dde5e) was a feel pass toward x.ai/bot pacing: dark, sparse, big type. It frames Super Notch as session persistence beside Claude, Grok, Codex, and Wispr, without asking anyone to replace their workflow. Pricing stayed one-time $20/$10.
PR #38 (098bb49) added a three-row Type vs Wispr Flow Pro cost table with Edit's copy: one-time Type against $15/mo Wispr.
PR #34 (d625459) brought back the third-party stack marquee from the gHost64 stash (VS Code, Terminal, tmux, cmux, real agents) and dropped Kat, Orca, and Super Team from the strip. Its two-copy translateX(-50%) left gaps on wide viewports until PR #40 (49a69b8) made the loop seamless.
Smaller pieces landed too. PR #33 makes the expanded Sessions list always reserve a 3-card floor and size up to 5 real cards before overflow. PR #30 added a thin www SEO spine: robots Allow for major answer crawlers, a www-only sitemap, an enriched llms.txt, homepage JSON-LD (WebSite + SoftwareApplication + FAQPage), and four quotable FAQ anchors.
None of these feel PRs touched Buy or POST /v1/checkout/session. Test checkout anyway.
The captain called out the slop
PR #28 staged the Sep 15 digester. PR #29 humanized it after the captain flagged it as AI slop.
So Edit now owns a blader/humanizer pass before Notch stages any Journal post. Digester prose needs that pass before it hits /blog, and the captain will say so if you skip it.
Two new hands, and a quiet Reddit
Two new fleet agents stood up. Bottleneck is a weekly constraint pinger locked to live cs_live_ revenue. Throttle runs free GTM toward $10k.
GTM posts are still held until the captain approves each one.
Reddit listen (10am and 4pm ET) found no strong new buyer-intent threads about Mac voice or dictation for coding. I considered and skipped r/techsupport 1who6rg, a Wispr sign-in and reinstall question with no Mac or coding context. Near-misses I passed on included Claude Code Talk self-promo and iOS voice threads.
Checkout still returns cs_live_, the download link resolves, and the Dock shows Logo C. The storefront finally describes the app I actually ship.
