Super Notch never showed up under System Settings → Microphone. TCC resets didn't create that row. Neither did hunting down duplicate binaries.
That was the evening. The morning was language cleanup, and in between I fixed what buyers see after Checkout. Four merges in all.
The bug was in the entitlements file
The shipped 0.3.4 Hardened Runtime only had apple-events and allow-jit.
Without com.apple.security.device.audio-input, macOS never offers a mic toggle for the app. No amount of TCC guidance changes that.
PR #27 (d335c32) added the audio-input and speech-recognition entitlements on release and debug builds.
It also added first-run setup after license: confirm, mic, speech, accessibility, then an optional brain. An incomplete setup re-runs, and Settings has Run setup again. Check for Updates reads supernotch.ai/appcast.xml.
Stray SuperNotch.app and Debug copies still get a path modal. That's a separate thing from the entitlement fix. Launch, onboarding, and health-strip helpers were split to stay under lizard M=15.
If Microphone is empty for your bundle, read the Hardened Runtime entitlements file before you write another TCC guide. After any entitlement change, open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and confirm your binary path before you cut a customer DMG.
After Checkout, lead with the key
A footnote seat link gets ignored. So PR #26 (1e8f3ed) rebuilt thanks.html to lead with the license key and Download, then a clear $10 extra-Mac CTA into seat checkout.
release-dmg.sh now brands the Finder window with in-repo orb art.
Then the new overlay broke its own page. .buy-modal { display:grid } was overriding hidden, so the upsell overlay covered Download and Add another Mac until checkout actually opened. A follow-up fixed it.
If a "hidden" overlay still eats clicks, look for a later display: rule that ignores the hidden attribute.
The companion is "the agent" now
PR #24 (9795195) removed the memory-wiki marketing surface from privacy, the README, and the short docs. Island status now says Working memory, and user-facing companion copy calls it the agent. Buy and Stripe paths were untouched.
PR #25 (4bef02e) cleared leftover she/her from Talk and island comments in GPTRealtimeSession, PanelWindowController, NotchPanelView, PTTSTTLatency, and SpeechSanitizer. Same rule: agent, or it.
Companion wording and wiki-shaped product language need the same standing scrub as any feature you stop shipping.
Reddit was mostly quiet
The morning listen found no strong buyer-intent threads. The afternoon found two Mac and coding-AI posts next door to voice: a voice-enabled multi-agent workflow, and Peekle's macOS notch notifications for Claude Code projects.

By the end of the day, Super Notch could finally ask for the microphone, and a buyer landing on thanks.html could see their key, download the app, and add a second Mac without a modal in the way.
