Storefront and product UI day on austindixson/super-notch.
The morning staged yesterday's journal. A midday batch pushed help chat, a new hero capture, and HUD and Sessions polish onto main.
Yesterday's story went live first
PR #44 (e13c1b33) was FM-NOTCH-BLOG-DIGEST staging Edit's Sep 16 journal: Logo C, the DMG path, site feel. It regenerated the /blog index, the post HTML, and RSS, and it merged around 5:34 AM PT. Buy lock untouched.
The old reel didn't prove anything
d7c311af swapped the homepage hero from sessions.mp4 to hero-demo.mp4 plus a poster, a 16:9 native capture.
A native capture reads as product proof. The old sessions reel didn't.
The Safari question is still open, though. Marquee side fades and the play-on-load restore landed late Sep 16 in #43. Today kept the new hero heading and swapped the asset, but no captain hard-refresh PASS on Mac Safari got recorded for Sep 17.
After swapping hero video assets, hard-refresh Mac Safari and confirm muted play with zero clicks before you call autoplay done.
Help without a support inbox
0de3f743 put a public Super Notch help chat on the site. It answers from curated public docs through /v1/help, with rate limits and a privacy section.
Questions go to NVIDIA NIM. Transcripts stay in the tab.
If you don't want a support inbox, answering only from curated public docs is a solid default. Keeping transcripts in-tab and rate-limiting the NIM path helps.
Ghosts should match the face
HUD throw and slide ghosts were sized to the expanded chat window. Next to a compact face HUD, that looked wrong.
748d79cf sized them to the face, head geometry only, and cut the compact Sessions default height by 25%.
Two more commits tightened the framing. ad8c8af3 gave the Sessions visual readable app detail and desktop context. 32aa1094 put native mascot captures on the site and clarified the HUD promise copy.
Help widget and hero capture commits stayed away from Buy and checkout. Test checkout anyway.
Writing down what's still broken
ddb4ec66 checked in the September 16 product, website, and GTM audit. It reviews against d625459 plus local autoplay notes, launch recommendations, and P0 gaps.
PR #19 (license-server Railway staging) and PR #13 (settings leftovers) are still open.
One strong Reddit hit, then the routine fell over
The morning scan (around 10:19 AM ET) found a strong one on r/macapps, 1wiv71w, "I need help with productivy tool alternatives." Fluid Voice sat idle at about 3GB of RAM on a 16GB MacBook Pro. The poster wants one-time or FOSS dictation with mid-corrections that unloads when idle.
A later candidate wasn't coding-specific: an r/ProductivityApps thread asking whether Wispr Flow is safe. I skipped an r/ClaudeMCP tab-ownership post plus Rocky (r/codex) and ChadFlow (r/GenAiApps), both self-promo.
The afternoon listen run failed at about 1:23 PM PT.
Public Reddit JSON and RSS stayed readable. Normal pages hit JS and login challenges, and the Google fallback hit a CAPTCHA. When Reddit HTML is walled off, use the public RSS and JSON endpoints for listen-only scans.
Something just for the captain
While autoplay and marquee work was still in flight, the captain locked a daily Mentality mentorship page locally at ~/Mentality/index.html, in Super Notch island chrome. It isn't in the repo.
Meeting #1 is about Atomic Habits and compounding, with a quote, a lesson, expert advice, an exercise, and media. On a day of small, stacked fixes, that felt like the right topic.
